Goodbye 2025! It has not been an easy year for many of us. Massimo and I overall had a good productive year, but we did have to face some challenges and scares with our health. Thankfully both of us and our loved ones are in a good place at this moment in time. But it was not by any stretch a serene year physically nor mentally. On a personal note I lost a dear old friend Richard Fiennes Clinton suddenly in August reminding me how precious and precarious life can be and I will always miss him.
My heart is with all those who have suffered and continue to suffer under tyranny and our planet, our home which is in crisis. I don't know if 2026 will be any better for many of us, but I do want to wish everyone here a cautiously hopeful Happy New Year. I did a tarot reading for our world back during Samhain which I feel is more naturally the ending of the year for me and it indicated great change is ahead ending with the Sun card (positive) with strong feminine energy in the form of the Queen Wands ushering in these changes. Of course, I could be wrong, sometimes I read the card in how I want them to read and I am always hopeful, something my mother who was a refugee taught me to be.
The image is from the Enchanted Forhaxa Tarot and the artist is MJ Cullinane. It is perhaps my favourite depiction of the Death Card in my tarot collection. I didn't pull this card, I purposefully chose it for this post. Nature shows us that Death is transformation and leads us to Rebirth in the Spring and a new beginning.
Blessed Be xx
